Attractions

Walt Disney World

The Magic Kingdom
A firm favorite with young children - and adults too!!

Epcot
This park not only has fantastic rides located in Future World, but also has a lake surrounded by the World Showcase of eleven different countries each serving the cuisine of their particular country. Epcot is a great hit with all ages.

Hollywood Studios
There are a number of rides revolving around the Star Wars theme and there is now a whole Land devoted to Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. New in 2020, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway is a great ride for all ages, as is the night-time fireworks extravaganza of 'Fantasmic'.

Animal Kingdom
Try the Kilimanjaro Safari (either during the day or on a night-time safari). The photo opportunities are endless and you really believe you are out on the savannah. The most recently opened Land, Pandora - The World of Avatar has several exciting rides including the adrenaline-fueled Avatar Flight of Passage. There are numerous other attractions like the 3D 'It's Tough To Be A Bug' and the major roller coaster 'Mount Everest', an afternoon parade and a great show called 'Festival of the Lion King'. Around the park you find keepers with animals/bugs, and they are happy to tell you all about them. There is also a night-time light show called 'Rivers of Light'. Disney combines education and fun in this park - it is a great day out.

Water Parks

Blizzard Beach
An amazing water park designed to resemble a ski resort - there are ski lifts, a 'toboggan' run 'bobsled' rides - a really fun place for all age groups.

Typhoon Lagoon
There are slides, pools, a slow river, a surf pool and a saltwater artificial coral reef with tropical fish that you can snorkel through.

Universal Studios

Universal Studios
The major attraction at Universal is the Wizarding World of Harry Potter: there is the must-ride roller coaster, a train ride which takes you between Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure, into the heart of Diagon Alley. It is brilliantly done. There are numerous other rides, from the rather tame, but very cute, 'ET Adventure' to the quite spectacular show 'The Bourne Stuntacular'.

Islands of Adventure
The big rides in this park are not for the faint-hearted as there are some pretty scary white knuckle rides - a huge hit with teenagers. However attractions such as 'The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman', 'Jurassic Park River Adventure' and the other water rides are a huge hit with all ages. 'Seuss Landing' has lots of cute attractions for the little ones.

Sea World

www.seaworld.com

Sea World
Sea World not only has killer whales, sharks, penguins, manatees, sea lions, otters and many other fabulous animals, it also has some good white-knuckle rides. Kracken is the tallest, longest, fastest and only floorless rollercoaster in Orlando. On their website you will find details of dining, special packages on offer and descriptions of their rides; so if you like animals and rollercoaster rides, you might like to try Sea World.

Discovery Cove

www.discoverycove.com

Just across the street from Sea World is its sister park Discovery Cove. This is a very different experience and is a great place to go to have a break from the hectic theme parks. It is a quiet and relaxing day - and you can even swim with a dolphin.

Attractions a Little Further Afield

Busch Gardens
